Place and Persistence — Complete Set (I–IV)

Place and Persistence is a four-image body of work created using in-camera 35mm film multiple exposures, merging coastal landmarks from San Diego with the cracked surface of Clark Dry Lake in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California. The series explores the tension between permanence and fragility, placing human-made structures within a landscape shaped by time, scarcity, and environmental change.

This offering includes the complete set of four framed photographs, produced from the original film exposures and printed as DSI Digital Silver Print® photographs. This process creates a true silver gelatin print directly from the digital file onto traditional photographic paper, preserving the tonal richness and depth associated with classic black-and-white materials while utilizing modern precision. Each work is presented using museum-grade archival materials intended for long-term preservation and exhibition.
